A nummulite is one of the biggest unicellular organism. Family: Nummulitidae; Superfamily: Nummulitacea; Order: Rotaliida; Phylum: Foraminifera; Superphylum: Retaria; Kingdom: Rhizaria; Kingdom: Protozoa; Domain: Eukaryota. Latin word "nummulus" means "little coin". They are common in Eocene to Miocene marine rocks. The ancient Egyptian pyramids were constructed using limestone that containes nummulites.
